Thiller Planning - Shooting Schedule

This is the Shooting Schedule for our filming.

Sunday 1/12:
- Mental Asylum footage: No characters or props are needed for this shot. Ellie will travel to the location of the abandoned Mental Asylum in Thorpe St. Andrews and obtain a few shots from various angles.

Monday 2/12:
- The trashed room close ups: This will largely incorporate props. We will need the location of the room and will then spend the Monday afternoon preparing props such as notes to go on a wall, and use connectors to connect articles and photos together. Photos of my sister from when she was younger will be placed on the walls. This will serve for flashback 2 and when the detective wakes up.
- Awakening: The Detective will wake up in the trashed room that has been previously set up and look around, confused, and unclench his hand to reveal the ribbon. We will need the Detective's actor, which will be Beth's older brother, Jacob.
- Flashback material: We will need the props to record the other 2 flashbacks. We will require a shot of the case book with "dismissed" written across it and the missing poster of the girl. No actors are required.

Tuesday 3/12:
- Shots 1 to 15 of the Planning Edit, version 1: this take of the events on will be set at night to achieve noir lighting effect. The shots will be lit be streetlights. There may be Christmas lights up that we will need to avoid as best as we can. Locations will include streets in Thorpe Marriott, mainly The Cains, and we will require most of the cast, the Detective's actor (Jacob), the girl (my sister, Ellie) and the Shade, who will be played for the most part by mutual friend Nathan. We will also need the ribbon prop for the girl to drop and the detective to pick up.

Wednesday 4/12:
- Shots 16 to end. Also will be a night-time version of the scene. We will need to do this around the evening time and work in reverse, filming the scenes in the open fields when there is still some natural light left once we have got back from sixth form otherwise the scene will be too dark. Once it is dark we can tackle the forest scenes using a flashlight/torch. We will need all of the cast for this, so Jacob (Detective), Ellie (Girl), Nathan (Shade) and the two or three extra Shades which will be some of our mutual friends who are yet to confirm their availability. (*NB: Names of these are Elliott, Callum and Josh. If need be I can play an extra Shade briefly)

Saturday 7/12:
- Shots 1 to 15, version 2. This time we will film in the afternoon. The weather is meant to be overcast although this forecast may change. We will then edit the brightness in editing to create a noir effect and see which version works best. This will be an exact replica of the Tuesday footage just at a different time of day. The same cast and props will be required.

Sunday 8/12:
- Shots 16 to end, version 2. Once again this will be an exact replica of the shots from Wednesday but at a different time of day. The same actors and props will be required. After we have all of the shots we will go over everything and see if we have missed anything or if there are extra shots we need to film and then film them - they can always be edited or removed.

Filming deadline is Monday 9th December, when editing will commence.

  1. Make sure your own contribution to this is evident.
It might be worth organising this as a table with columns for : date, shot no, location, personnel, equipment, props etc. You can also consider the timing for your project as a whole. This one could be the shooting schedule and you could make a general project schedule.
